but i did it anyway. I had a family photo shoot at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens today. When I finished…this sight stopped me in my tracks. The orange poppies were absolutely stunning & now they’re mine.
I’m following. Your photographs are beautiful & much to learn with your writing about the species of flower you photograph. Thank you for the invitation. ~amy
The glow was from the overcast silver sky. Best light to shot anything in. I always shoot when the sky is silver, its like it turns all subjects into gold. However, yellow should be added sometimes because your camera may see blue. ~amy
I know!! I was in heaven. The gardens have really added Poppies to their gardens this past year. Last year, they only had them in one place. Thank you so much! ~amy
Amazing beauty, Gail. I was laying on the sidewalk taking pictures & stuck up a conversation with two boys…their parents thought i was a bit odd. They kept trying to get there kids away from the nut laying on concrete taking photos. ~amy
You noticed that, Veronica? I noticed that yellow flowers dominate in nature in spring…then fall the leaves on the trees turn yellow, orange & red, just when the sun shifts in the sky & turns the sky a beautiful cerulean blue. Using the color wheel…opposites! Nature is a great teacher. Thanks for liking the poppies. They were beautiful to see in person. 🙂 ~amy
