        i planted those for my Grandmother. Its funny to have such a prickly plant in the garden. I miss my grandmother, can you tell? ~amy

        Then it makes this all that more special, and yes – I can sense that.

        I adore flowers – gardens of all sorts – from the roots to the buds to their maturity and then how they step aside for new growth. I use to plant all of the time, at one point I had twenty seven rose bushes. My gardens were filled with stories and not a day passed that I didn’t start my mornings and end my evenings in them. I would photograph every detail as though I’d never see them again.. Now I can go back through them all and find myself breathing just as calmly as I did then. Hopefully, it does the same for you. ; )
