Oh my, that is what the leaves reminded me of. But in Vermont, Milkweed has big pods that we could open & the seeds would fly like dandelions do. Thank you so much, Michelle! You’re a genius! ~amy
I want that photo on my wall. I want that plant in my garden. It is FABULOUS! My lawn is covered in daisies, which others look down on. I took a photo of them the other day because they were so pretty.
All I see in that plant of yours is beauty.

I so love your bright, brilliant style of photography. And, as an avid amateur gardener, i love your choice of subjects. Always a refreshing photograph – excellent, Amy!
UGh!!! I was so excited to see you commented on this weed b/c I thought you’d know what it was!!! Thank you for liking the flower though, jr cline! 🙂 ~amy
That is a lovely flower – fascinating structure! Ah, what is a weed, but a plant in the wrong place! … and when it’s a wanted treasure that means it’s no longer a weed! I grow a variety of ‘weeds’ in my yard … we eat most of them 🙂
Ha! I am a regular forager … though still learning about more and more edible ‘weeds’! Here’s a great video my son linked me this weekend … Tama Wong is an amazing forager …
it’s really pretty !!!!! it’s a plant because you planted it and love it…a weed infers you don’t want it there…. xxx but i tend to kill evrything i grow so what do i know…. but i do know i think it’s pretty xxx
Well, then you feel as i do. I’m sorry you are no good with flowers/plants. Someone told me once told me, it was so freeing, that if a plant begins to fail where it is, then move it. I absolved me of being a murderer of plants/flowers. I also noticed that if a plant has some dying leaves, to remove them, it seems to make the plant/flower do better. I hope you try to turn your black thumb green! Thank you, Sam. ~amy
actually, never mind: it’s white milkweed. http://uswildflowers.com/detail.php?SName=Asclepias+variegata

I will shot it further away, so that someone (You?) can identify the plant. Thanks, Michelle. ~amy

How do you know they are ok to eat? Then you’ve answered my second question, that it is now weed, if I put it in a place of honor. ~amy
