My new baby pink…

My new baby pink...

Hydrangea. I found this hydrangea at leaf & Petal, on the clearance shelf, this spring. The flowers were starting to brown & it had lost most of it’s leaves. Putting it into the ground was a bit of a gamble, but I figured it was spring & maybe it would know what to do on its own, once it got its toes in Alabama’s dirt.
The Hydrangea had been forced to bloom, too small to support these big blooms, it had three sticks to hold them up.
That is the reason the stems are cut so short. It will not give anymore flowers this year, I was really looking for it to survive, it seems to be thriving.
