usually, every spring…i go in search of something new for my outdoor garden beds. this year i am moving into an apartment with my two children. a single mom. but a happier one. i put together a garden that is going to move with us. i put a dollar tree mirror on the bottom added my favorite rocks i’ve found & bought. used the dish holder for the bird that used to live here. white pots & wee house plants. AND one beautiful frog. it takes courage to gain peace.

i swear that frog keeps me from flying into pieces. the boxes full of things i don’t have room for make me nuts. then i look at the frog & i am calm. crazy, huh? perhaps that was why i coveted for so long–to remind me to be still.

Karen, it is so hard to think of living without dirt. it was a safe haven…when i saw the tiny house plants, i thought it is something i can change when i like. i like it can hold small things that have a large meaning to me. there is one rock, polished by my mom, She calls them ‘worry stones’ you keep them in your pocket & the smooth feeling can relax me. And that rock was picked up by my mother on an island in the middle of Lake Champlain, Vermont. I love this new life & it has just BEGUN. 🙂 wonderful to ‘see’ you. i do hope you are well & happy. ~amy

Thanks! Plants do change the feel of any space…because it is life & dependent on you. that is something. I love single. i love crawling into my bed & read whenever i want. have cereal for dinner, or a handful of nuts. my music LOUD & singing. single means you can be yourself completely. you can learn from the past. then let it go. get some plants. that way your don’t live without another life. plus they change the feel of any room & they clean the air you breath. I love single. i love that i can totally be myself, swear like a sailer, blast my music & dance a blue streak around my art studio. i am me again. Good luck to you, John.
