i added make up digitally so that she could see herself in about 3 years. This beautiful, inside & out, girl is one of my art students. She is a very talented artist. While we were painting a still life via watercolor, i asked if i could photograph her.

Because when you are a 12 year old girl…a big worry is if they are beautiful enough (not that this beauty said anything like this, i have two daughters & i did hear them both say negative things about how they looked).There are so many insecurities at this child/woman age. This is the perfect age for me to take photos of them…because giving someone else, one less thing to worry about, on their journey through their teenage years, is a powerful thing to do. I LOVE doing this kind of photography.
