I leave my camera behind. Which was kinda(VERY) dumb on my part, because I KNEW the rosebud trees were at their peak of stunning-ness. I saw that 50% of the dogwood trees were open & glorious. I have four dogwood trees & I believe, just to spite me, they are going to go straight from almost flowering to leaves. Dogwoods are spoiled princesses, if the light isn’t right, the blossoms don’t open fully. I thought the FOUR of mine, being in totally different places, I thought, at least one would open fully. Nope.

I took these images with my iPhone. So forgive the quality. I do, however, own–on my key chain, a Leatherman style CS. This beauty opens to a pair of scissors. I brought some of these branches home to take with my real camera.
