growing salad

There are lots of food you can grow this way. If you put celery bottoms in an open jar with a little water, you will have celery. Green onions too. All those chives that are growing in the Alabama soil right now…pull them up & chop off the top, put the bottom in dirt & put the green part in your baked potato with sour cream…i’m hungry.

I’ve never tried that with lettuce before – how amazing that it works!

I know! I can’t believe how many things do regrow, I have a chart I found online. I love Romain lettuce & it is possible to grow it inside too! Thank you, Reggie. I hope you do try it too. ~amy

I never knew until two weeks ago that that was possible. I would be covered in Romaine lettuce by now! It is fun. Thank you for commenting, Valentina. ~amy

I also tried to grow pineapple in the same way, so far no luck. I tried avocado and now I have a small tree growing, I also tried lettuce and many other vegetables, all very successful. Make sure the first is organic, otherwise there is no point in growing something already corrupted.
