Hi Tammy,
I grew up in Montpelier, then @ 19 years of age moved to Burlington. I met my first husband there. The plan was to for him to go to optometry school in Birmingham, Alabama (my uncle was assistant dean of admissions at the time) when he graduated, we would move back to Montpelier & buy my father’s optometry practice. But life doesn’t often go to plan. All my family followed me down b/c when they came to visit. It looked like Vermont, but no snow. So i’ve been here since 1993–I was 23 years old then. A life time ago. I go back to Vermont almost every year to refuel my yankee batteries. Thanks for asking, Tammy! ~amy
Amy, we are originally from New Jersey and moved to Vermont in 2006. We live in the Rutland/Ludlow area. We have family from New Jersey that visits us and would move here in a heartbeat. Parallel worlds. Let me know when you pass this way, perhaps we can meet over a cup of tea.

It was, Reggie. She stuck the small vase of flowers into her sister’s mailbox & her sister later sent her a text with a very happy comment. Thank you so much, Reggie! ~amy
Beautiful photography Amy. Where in Vermont were you from? What caused you to move to Alabama?
