In the middle of that cement stone was a blue hydrangea that some deer or rabbit ate most of. On either side are blueberries that probably didn’t last the night. My husband is putting down the cement mosaic that I made. The letters are made of wood so they will rot & come out leaving the impression of his name. If the animals eat the stuff we plant, we are going for Blue Spruce, I hear it tastes awful.

I’m at war with the deer too! It’s year 10. They are winning! Its my free salad bar. I plant, they eat, even whats inside the fence! Many people have recommended coyote pee – apparently you can buy it online.

Its ok. We buried our dog, Blue out at the lake, but live 45 minutes away. If they eat what is there now. Blue Spruce will work. We wanted something with the name blue in it.

Fence your property well will help a lot. Hang some soap around the fence so deer will keep out.
