Then he wanted a Maine Coon Kitten. I told him they cost about $800, so NO. My son and went to a few stores that have kittens from the local Humane Society, because it was a Sunday. The first store had none. The second store had a few beautiful cats. We looked online.
I stopped in a pet store where we adopted Judah. There were three males. One turned to look at me. I saw the long hair in his ears, I saw the shaggy chest hair and knew I was looking at a Maine Coon kitten. I sent a photo to my son…He wrote back, “That’s the one, he is mine” after I started the adoption from the Shelby County Humane Society, my son sent another text, “Pleeeeeaaaaasseee, can he be mine?” I wrote back, “yes” He wrote back, “Really??!” He is three months old in these photos I took today. My Vet confirmed that he is a Maine Coon kitten…the adoption cost me $50. And yes, I know how lucky I am. He sleeps in my hair. He wakes me up with snuggles and purrs. Its heaven.
This is Courage, as my mother’s friend said, “we all need a little Courage in our lives”
