decorating for Hanukkah or Chanukah…

without having a good camera.

art studio table (Kettler Woodworks bowl from Vermont) the dinosaur is always there, so i’m not making an evolution statement, he holds my toothpicks for art projects. IMG_5622

Kitchen table…somebody has been stealing my (gelt)gold!IMG_5629found this bowl in an antique store, the snow ‘ball’ is from my mom, as are the Love & Courage women

do NOT spin that dreidel, it is that song. silver bear to match, white dog who ripped half my heart out when he passed, a flower vase for a photographer, i was given about five years agoIMG_5631

our collections of dreidels, some are the cheap plastic ones–those i’m changing!IMG_5627

i have four ‘crystal’ bear ornaments, they are plastic 😦 still cool though. blue glass dreidels & three blue moons from Launie, in Vermont. i have Father Christmas for my Christmas celebrating students. this is the window in the art studio.

I tried to make things look very calm & happy. I have decorated spots everywhere without the overwhelming & crowding feeling holidays can be. that is the way i like it. This weekend, i’m going to wrap gifts & get all the Hanukkah Menorah’s out, put the candles in them…to torment my children.

The sun needs a bit of help before it wins over the moon (Winter Solstice)

So light up your nights, no matter your faith & be happy. ~amy

Interesting. I am not familiar with this celebration and wish you a nice time, it’s a nice time of the year anyway, like you say, no matter your faith – be happy. 🙂
