Kids and art. They do it differently don’t they. Babes tend to want to wear the materials and wallow in the gooey stuff. It’s messy for sure but gives them a rich experience.
I’ve had more kids then i can count, play in the water while painting…”look at the swirls of color” I let them for a while, but then remind them that that art will go down the drain & ask them to try to make it happen on paper. Its so good for me to watch kids create art…so free & full of wonder. Therapy for me. That is why i teach children to paint. 🙂
Oh, that does remind me of some of the children’s craft sessions I used to organise! Artists do need to really get to know their materials! Wonderful 🙂
