oh, lily how you shine

this little man-made pond was at Petals from the Past. An amazingly beautiful place that I will be posting pictures of for the next few days. I also have to find the brochure so that I can tell you where it is. Because it is an hour south of Birmingham, Alabama. But…for me, it felt like i had flown 1,250 miles home to Vermont…My wonderful friend wanted to show me this treasure & what a gift she gave me.

Since Kenilworth is in Washington DC I have to wait, but at least your lovely photos remind me to make sure it’s on the calendar!

  2. A perfect symphony created by mankind in harmony with nature. Absolutely breathtaking, all is needed now is a few handsome frogs singing on those leaves and that is what I call “pond heaven”! Beautiful shots of tranquility, now we now why Japanese gardens always include a pond!

  3. These are beautiful! I’ve always wanted to paint lily pads like Monet! 😉 I’ve never seen that color flower with them before! I usually just see white ones.

Very Monet. Perhaps I should blur the images a bit in his honor! Thank you, Peggy. ~amy

Alabama has some amazing Lilies, in a lot of wonderful colors. Especially at the Botanical Gardens. My favorite flower there is purple with red. ~amy
