how embarrassing :). Do you see that Nala is laughing? I have found it is very important to embrace any signs of humor a dog displays. Nala was our foster, she came from Alabama Siberian Husky Rescue. Nala had been picked up by the Birmingham City pound. The pound notifies rescues when a full-blooded breed gets picked up. I saw her face on Facebook…I am ‘friends’ with Alabama Siberian Husky Rescue because I have a great love of the breed & already had a husky, who owned my heart. When I saw her poor little face in that little cage, I filled out the form online to foster. I was interviewed & was ok’d. When Nala arrived at the door, it was obvious to all of us that she was a Saab. We adopted her about two weeks later. Nala didn’t have a sense of humor. My other husky, Blue, did. It took a year or so to finally see her smile, laugh & play.
I took this photo today in my car. My son put the toy husky on her head & she shook it off for a few minutes. Finally she figured out that it would be funny to have it sit on her. I caught her laughing with my iPhone.
How did I live without my iPhone camera??
That is most definitely a smiling happy dog – how awesome that you and Nala have found each other. 😀
