I have a question. Why do some photography blogs say, “Weekly Challenge” I saw several that said it was windows…where are they finding these challenges & who is giving them?
P.S. this is our backyard brook. The water froze during the Polar Vortex…our temps got down into the teens during the day, for three days! Wednesday it slowly started to warm & by Saturday it was 65 degrees.

I just took a bunch of water bubble pictures today, of the puddle at the end of my driveway!

Wow! What a lovely photo!
I don’t know about the weekly challenges. I learn about them from other blogs, after the fact. And I’m too chicken to try them anyway . . .

Amy,
Great Blog….. I’m assuming your question might apply to my Project 364 blog. I had heard about it midway through 2013. Not being one to start something late i decided it was on my to do list for 2014. So far, I have come up with my own subjects for photos, but plan on using this site when I run out of creative ideas…. GOOD LUCK….. http://captureyour365.com/

I’ve heard of projects documenting things in the everyday that you would otherwise miss. Grateful for projects. I was doing that & I kept up with it for three whole days! I will check out your 364 blog idea. I don’t think I can manage it this year…too many kids doing too many things. Thank you so much for letting know! ~amy

OOPS, my response should have read Project 365… I also have friends who are doing Project 52 so they only need to post once per week. Maybe that is more doable for you. LOVE your most recent photos…

I think I will try the weekly one. Although, I seem to throw a whole bunch of thing that interest me up there all the time. Beauty is everywhere & I’m grateful. Maybe I can do 5 blessings a day! ~amy

Love the glassy, metallic sheen. Very cool pic! Thanks for stopping by my little ‘ol blog. Hey, by the way, I am a teacher too—Science, English, and Art. However, I don’t seem to make enough time for my creative endeavors. One day I do want to take photography classes. Such is life!
Enjoying your site!

You can go shoot & find what works & what doesn’t, no one is stopping you, but you! I wouldn’t have said this back when it was film & metering, but these days all you need is to experiment AND find tips on other blogs! Thank you so very much for complementing my photography. ~amy

If you go onto The Daily Post (wordpress ran blog) they have a page dedicated to blogging challenges. The 2 that I do most often are The Daily Post’s own Weekly Challenge (the one that was just ‘windows) and also A Word In Your Ear’s ‘Word of the Week’ which was ‘yellow’ this week. You could probably search straight for them in google. But yeah, go to The Daily Post and find the page for blogging events/challenges 🙂

Thank you, Kylie. I plan on doing both as soon as I can, or rather, as often as I can. I think its wonderful to see so many different perceptions of the same word. Thank you for taking the time to answer me & the follow. ~amy
