I think Queen Ann’s lace was made from white butterflies & snow flakes. One day I’m going to pull some Queen Ann’s lace & red clover from the ditch & plant it where its supposed to be. In my garden & in my vases to remind me of home. I like to think that the red clover & Queen Ann’s lace followed me here to Alabama from Vermont. When I moved here all the grass beside the interstates had been cut short by the local government. Today, the interstate is surrounded by wild flowers & grasses. People now know its cheaper, more beautiful & better for the planet to plant wildflowers & let Mother Nature decorate.
In the packet of seeds, there must have been a few wildflowers from the North, just to stir the pot. 🙂
