  1. once upon a time i had a 7,000 square foot home that was a bed and breakfast. i always loved going outside and returning with an assortment of flowers and then arranging trays full of nosegays to put in the rooms and throughout the house. i totally understand and appreciate your own collection of flowers for your precious vases! keep smiling with that happy heart! z

What a wonderful story. I am thinking that I am jealous of you picking your flowers, then I realize, that is what I always wanted, even as a little girl, fresh picked mix & match (or not) flowers to be arranged in little vases all over my house. I am living my dream. So now I have to come up with a new one? I’m not ready. I’m going to plant, snip, arrange & smile.
I am glad I met someone who once lived the same dream. Except you had to feed people. I’d just point to the cereal boxes. amy

      1. my dream as an 11-year old was to live in argentina when i grew up! i chuckle; i’ve not quite made it there yet, but it’s the journey itself and not the destination!

today i picked some native (wild) petite morning glories that are a very pure cobalt blue – so sweet and precious with extra long stems.. of course i trimmed those stems before placing them in a little bitty blue and white vase, and the arrangement smiles at me in the kitchen window.

there’s something special about fresh-cut flowers.. they smile at us even when we don’t feel like smiling!

may you have smiles all week long!

I hope you post a picture of them. I planted morning glory seeds & they are 4″ out of the ground. -amy
