The first thing to turn on a spider mum is the outside petals, they stop curling up & turn blah. So I took my plant scissors, turned it upside down, chopped all the way around & it looks new again. I will let you know how much longer they last with their haircut. Everything but the spider mum grew up on my property, we have lovely one sided conversations about how beautiful they are, then I chop their blossoms off. Cruel.
