On Henry’s 1st birthday, he got “Birthday Dog”. He carried that dog everywhere, until he was three years old. He brought him to show & tell every week.
My son @ two years of age. When he turned two, he began to introduce himself as Batman. He really believed it.
For Henry’s 3rd Birthday, I painted this canvas for him. On Batman’s utility belt is Birthday Dog & flying out of Batman’s wallet is a drivers license with Henry’s picture.
This is my son today, showing me that he still has the painting & Birthday Dog.
Thank you for saying so. I finally found all the pictures to tell the story…Henry told me when he saw what I had done, “I’m gonna keep those things forever, can I?”
How lovely… my one Grandson still has his cheetah soft toy we gave him 6 years ago… and my Granddaughter has a soft doll I gave her when she was born 37 years ago.. still so well looked after
This is definitely a keeper story , forever! Love the photos, the memories, birthday dog, and of course Henry! So darling!
