change the direction of the sun.

i moved into an apartment last May. i have lived in houses most of my life. Most houses have windows on all sides of the house, never really thought about that before…when i lived in my last house, i followed the sunlight, all day, like a cat. i tried to find an apartment that faced…

light paints me different colors

the same flowers shot at different times of day, shot w/ different sunlight-the outside images were shot in the early morning, with the sun just starting to reach over the top of the hill, in front of my house. the image of the flowers in the vase were taken in my kitchen, the light source…

water reflects the sunlight

the water bounces light back up into the waterlily…which is why the plant looks as though it holds the sun itself.

yup…more flower pictures

the wee rose is in a one inch vase. i love light. i have mirrors to play with the sun (that is what these roses are sitting on, the reflection is of the ceiling), prisms to shatter light, disco balls to spin the sun dizzy & one fake HUGE diamond that peppers my kitchen with…

but the sun had already turned the corner…

I had placed this vase of tulips, out of the way, because of little art students arriving for class. when the class was over, the sun had left the room’s window. the sunlight hit a piece of glass i had on my windowsill & reflected the sun into one strong ray of light…that touched only…

the sun shines from within

i found these waterlilies at the Birmingham Botanical Gardens yesterday. Birmingham has a cold snap right now. The nights got into the mid 20s, the cold didn’t effect these beauties at all. ~amy
