Love the picture of the hibiscus blossom, and how you can see the veins in the petals.

it was the veins that stopped me. how close they are to our own. Thank you, Reggie. ~amy

Once had a hibiscus that grew all the way to the second story roof. I love them.

I was never a big fan of the hibiscus, looked a bit X rated to me. But I’ve decided that i may get one, i found a very funky one & plan to go back for it. I didn’t know they could grow that tall! ~amy

Full sun all day and latticed against a white stucco wall. Mine were red and plenty of flowers.

Your photographs of the flowers are incredible! I’d seen them before, i lack the lens to get me that tight…someday though, i will buy one. Love your blog. ~amy

Thanks Amy. These were all taken from a 105 mm Nikkor lens which gives incredible detail even from a 12 to 14 inch distance. BTW, the camera was a Nikon D7000.
