the roses were not doing well so early in the season. They needed rain. The colors were faded with brown at their edges, so I removed the color to show their beautiful structure…

I agree. The roses looked as though it was late summer. They really seem to know the difference between being watered by man & being watered by rain. Thankfully the rain fell & they will begin to look as they should this early in the season. I agree with you on Black & White flowers, their structure is harder to see when the color blinds you to it. ~amy
