I took Nala (husky) out for a pee this morning & I didn’t have any Poppies open. I went out a few hours later to water & I had three opened & ready for their morning photo shoot.
Oh, I wish. I bought those at a toy store way back in the year 2000. I wanted to buy them all & asked the store to order more. They told me that they were a limited addition & they were no longer being made. Another blogger wanted to buy them & I told her about finding them 14 years ago. She looked them up on ebay & they were 45 dollars a piece. I don’t think I could ever make those look as real as the company did. Thanks for thinking I could pull that off! ~amy
I have very bad news for you. I found those at Toys R Us about 15 years ago. I wanted to buy each one, but they were $12.00 a piece, so three was a total indulgence. I went back next month & they had no more. I asked the manager if they were going to get anymore & he told me they were limited editions. I went online to order & I couldn’t find them. I think i looked again years later on ebay & they were $45 a piece. But maybe you could look again. They stand about 10″ tall. Now that I’ve written down their value, I think I’ll bring them back in & put them back on our bookshelves…good hunting. ~amy
LOL! Yeah… The outdoors will put some wear and tear into so valuables. 🙂 Thank you for taking the time. 45$ is a bit rich for my blood. Although they might be a fun piece to get one day when my kids are old enough to understand the value. For now, I’m thinking they would get mostly chewed on by my 9 month old!
WOW! $45 bucks?! After i wrote to you this morning, I took them out of the garden. They have been bathed & placed back on the bookshelves. Cool to know how much they are worth. The copyright on the feet say 2000. Which makes them 14 years old! Great pictures though. Maybe I’ll make a mold then pour cement to make them able to be in my gardens! ~amy
I’m surprised you didn’t make the wild things yourself, Amy! 😉 Maybe a project for a rainy day? I wonder what yours will look like….
