Instead of having these beasts in front of my itty bitty house (everyone’s home is their castle) I’d rather have them at the threshold of my gardens. My gardens are my castle.
I love these statues and I love your idea. We had some Gatekeepers carved from wood in the yard but it has been a long while and they have rotted into unrecognizable masses of wood. This photo inspires me to work on something out of concrete for my garden. I’ve done smaller things like faces and leaf bowls for the gardens, why not a big gargoyle or ? Thanks for the inspiration.
