I think so too, jr cline. Bet one so beautiful would be hard to find. I love thrift & antique stores…i’m going to look for one for my gardens. ~amy

I thought it a great idea too. I love thrift stores & I’ve always skipped looking at the furniture, but now, I think I’ll look for something like the metal headboard to use in my gardens. Wouldn’t it look smashing with sugar snap peas traveling among all those swirls? πŸ™‚ ~amy

      1. Thats so true, plus with the open elements within the metal fence, it’d be easy for them to grow at ease with space. ..I enjoy the idea of thrifting, wish it was more available without traveling so far ! !

I’m sorry you have to travel far to search for treasures. The thrill of the hunt. Another’s trash is another’s treasure. I’m going tomorrow with a friend in search of small vases for flowers. And a metal headboard. πŸ™‚ ~amy

Perfect composition! I love the quirky/rusty/ part painted wirework. But what makes the shot is the randomly sprayed colours in the background. Its like having an abstract painting set against something elegant. It’s the contrast that makes it edgy and exciting. Love it! -Karen.

Thank you so much, Karen. You describe it as I felt it. I just loved the whole thing. I had taken the shot before, but the gaffitti-ish spray paint mess changed. When I was there before there were different colors about, although I no longer remember what they were. Thank you for the definition of my reaction was! You’re brilliant. ~amy

Because I believe that is exactly what it is! This is a high-end retail village. I LOVE going behind the scenes, down the back alleys, to find what is not meant to be seen, it says a lot about the owner of the shop. Quite an original UpCycle idea, speaks well of the owner. ~amy
