That is SO beautiful! So full of textures, with the wood, the ice and the brick behind. Inspired………Karen

Inspired? I do hope so. I’d love to see your England, Karen. Have you been able to fix your “reblog” thing yet? ~amy

Sorry Amy, I have been out of touch for a while because the gales which are hitting the South West of England have been so bad this week. The wind was so severe that it forced rain into my kitchen roofspace and down into my electrics. So I have been without power. As for the ‘re-blog’ issue- I have a friend visiting who has checked it out for me today. He is seeing that individual blogs do not have a button on their page to ‘reblog’, but that WordPress offers the opportunity in either the tool bar or on the page in the Reader. When I look at your latest blog in my reader WordPress gives me the option. When I appear in your Reader, do you not see that for my blogs? Sorry, this is quite hard to describe, but sadly, we cant just meet for a coffee! This weekend I am going to pick up the advice you gave about amplifying. Another gale is on its way and it is time to get cosy by the fire. Take care -Karen.

Fabulous, as long as it doesn’t do awful damage. 😉

The ice did little damaged b/c when it happens in Alabama, it is usually gone by late afternoon or the next day. Wonderful for a taste of the great North’s weather. Thank you, Kathryn. ~amy

I love the palette of this piece, the way the subtle reds and golds in the branch are echoed by the background, and the contrast of warm and cold. Gorgeous!
