for Stephanie. I gave this painting to one of my dearest friends in 2005. I’ve not seen it hanging in her house for a few years. I saw it yesterday & it was a bit of a shock. I see it through different eyes. When i finish a watercolor, I see only the flaws & I’m a bit tired of it-a bit like shirt once loved, but then worn too often. I’ve not done a watercolor in almost a year. Seeing this one yesterday gave me the push I needed to begin again. A blank sheet of watercolor paper is a very scary thing…
