moss & ice

moss & ice

Birmingham Alabama is slowly becoming the greenest place on earth. No, not that kind of green. Moss green. Lovely color, moss green. I welcomed a little moss on the bank of our creek, stream, brook- (whatever people in Birmingham call running water outside) I loved it. I carefully dug some up & put it on some statues & cracks in my brick path. I shouldn’t have bothered because this summer, anything that stopped moving, moss grew on top of it.

I think its in my sinuses.

Crazy, I’ve not seen ice on this brook before, nor have I seen such a green Birmingham in winter. This day, the two oddballs met in my backyard.

Hi Samantha, former Birmingham-er. Atlanta is great (except for traffic) & I would someday love to spend the day around there. Thank you for checking out my blog. ~amy
