1. I had white flowers, Lillies, for almost three weeks, given to me by my friend Stephanie, who is a wonderful artist & has helped me with a number of jobs. With one Lilly left, I wanted to get it photographed in my studio.
2. I bought the warmest flowers I could find & I figured they should be taken while the studio was set up for the white Lilly.
3. The director would arrange the flowers & it took so long to get her ass out of the view, I had a couple of her in it. I should have hired Stephanie.
4. I decided I wouldn’t work with this director ever again. People had said she was the best, but then someone can hang a ^%$#* canvas painted in gesso & call it art,
there by making it so.
5. I learned to trust my instincts because I have worth myself. If I call myself an artist, well then, I am.
6. I do think I will sleep with her first though :). Like my studio? I bought that jacket at the thrift store years ago, it will NEVER go out of style. Sometimes you just gotta fake it.

Love your low-key studio – the fine results speak for themselves. And the director did a great job, too. If only she could keep her tail from photobombing your shots… 😉

I loved that one. That symbolizes my life. Almost perfect.
She also can’t stand to be ignored. If you ever need to borrow my jacket for a shoot, I will send it! 🙂

the fine results speak for themselves- is that a compliment? Because I was just using the fantastic rainy day for lighting & a thrift store jacket? And a cat? I really liked how they all came out. I hope you do.
