Classic! Actually just a thought… In some photo editing softwares (like photoshop) you have an option to keep colors on specific aspect of the picture. So this would be a perfect candidate for that I guess… You could just keep the color on your daughter and leave the remaining black and white.

Hmmm… I see.. then may not have an impact… But this pic is just awesome… It has some kind of nostalgic effect to it… am sure you daughter would appreciate it when she sees it after another 15 yrs..
