you are so hot

pepper so hot i had to wash my hands after touching them. who, in their right mind, would eat these? oh, my 13 year old daughter opened one & licked it…tears were the end result.

black-eyed peas & okra, anyone?

my husband went to a friend’s farm yesterday & brought home okra…this yankee has no idea what to do with either one. black-eyed peas & okra is a VERY Southern food. the squash is not edible anymore, too many seeds i’ve been told.

the incomplete butterfly

one of the things i teach in my art classes for children is, “leave no white.” what struck me first about this butterfly was the absent part of his lower wing, then i noticed that if he were cut from paper, then the person that did the cutting, left the white on his wings. instead…
