my dream house

what more could i ask for then this? Just my animals running around, happy as i would be. St. Albans, Vermont

flowers made of butterflies

my very favorite flower, Hydrangea. Alas, the weather didn’t encourage many blooms this year. I suppose that makes these very special. I will dry them…i do so every year. They dry beautifully & look wonderful on my windowsills.

the farm on the side of the road

a visual feast. Christmas lights all year ’round, American flag covering the window & a tree…branch? holding up the roof. Cool beans

the guard dogs looked a lot like sheep…

when i pulled over into the ditch opposite this farm, all i heard was BAAAaaaaa. utterly terrifying. The farm also had a security system, step up to the fence & be attacked by FIRE ANTS. And i had NO idea that one could have sheep in Alabama. It gets so hot & humid, i’ve been…

an Alabama farm…really?!

emu, llama, chickens, rooster, sheep…all in a pasture of fall yellow flowers. it felt more like seeing a gathering of Noah’s animals. It was so cool! ~amy

sweeter when wet

my garden this morning after a good washing. September in Alabama is still summer.
