cut bag at seems. Cut the front & back of bag into strips about 1.5 to 2" wide. cut bag at seams. Cut the front & back of bag into strips about 1.5” to 2” wide. (or whatever you need)

cut the corners off your squares/rectangles & use a hole punch to make hole as centered as possible. This image is to show both front & back of tag. The flashier the tag, the less need for expensive bows. I bought this green raffia for $5.  I don't think raffia ever runs out…at least, not in my house.
