Oh my word… absolutely flawless. I’ve always been intrigued by these henna ‘tattoos’ – do they paint them on with a fine brush, or use some sort of pen with a nib, and the ink made of henna?

Saw a young girl today in Nouakchott central market with blue plastic bags over her hands. Intrigued I stopped and asked her why, she took them off to show me her still wet henna tattoos. Not as beautiful as the ones in your photo, but still a great work of art.

Hi Chris. I had never seen nor heard of henna tattoos before. I think i’ll have my 19 year old try those on before she dares go under the needle. Gasp…Thank you for your comment! ~amy
