I LOVED Mobile, Alabama. We brought our daughter to college @ University of South Alabama…then my husband & i took a stroll downtown. Music playing, people laughing & everyone out & about…all having a great time. I can’t wait to go back.
amy begun saab ~life as i see it. a Vermonter deeply entrenched in Alabama dirt…so i plant flowers.
all brilliant really capture the essence of the place

Amazing photos! Are you a professional? And thanks for the tip about a family friendly mardi gras in Mobile! If we’re ever over there I think it sounds more our scene than boobs and drunks in the streets of New Orleans…

Hello Michelle, Thank you so much! And so cool that i may have enticed you to a family friendly Mardi Gras in Mobile!! Yes, i’ve seen & heard about New Orleans version of the holiday. I’m a bit too hold for that craziness, although if asked at age 20, i still think i would have been to chicken to go. I am sort of a professional…i don’t shoot things that cannot be reshot, like a wedding…I am pretty casual, i do a lot of families for Christmas & such. I mostly paint commissions. The photos found here i usually what i find around me. Thank you so much & nice to ‘meet’ you! ~amy
