Ah your Ivy-the-black-cat story did make me smile 🙂 It really reminded me of a favourite children’s book I often shared in storytime sessions some years ago when I was a librarian – it’s called Winnie the Witch and it’s a wonderful story about a witch who eventually decides to ‘Abracadabra’ her world into glorious technicolour so she can stop sitting on or tripping over her black cat, Wilbur 😀 http://www.korkypaul.com/picwinn.html
Oh, what a wonderful story that must be! I went to the link & wish there was more to the story. Perhaps, I will look for it at Barnes & Noble. Thank you for sharing this with me, Peggy. ~amy

ha! It was her yowl, when I tried to sit in the chair, that gave her away! ~amy

Black cat with sunlit eyes.
If those eyes shut, it will vanish into the furniture.

That is exactly why i sat on her! I didn’t even see her there, it was her yowl that prevented her from becoming a rug. 🙂 Thank you, Mary. ~amy
