A wonderful photo. It would seem that you children share your passion for life.

Highlight of this year has been saving a bee from drowning in a bird bath. Nice photo.

I pet my friend’s bees sometimes (she’s a beekeeper) and honey bees are quite “friendly”

I think if bees have gotten enough pollen…and have been working hard to get it, they are easier to catch. I didn’t have the courage my daughter did. I just put my camera in front of it. 🙂 ~amy

I remember a few years back I was on a motorcycle and felt a burning on my thigh. I thought I had touched the muffler or something but, when I looked down there was a bee. Since then I have been very comfortable around them. I don’t bother them and they don’t bother me. But as for petting them, I don’t think so.

Yeah, I didn’t have the courage to pet this one either. My brother in law caught it…a slow moving Carpenter bee. I think he must have stunned it while trying to catch it & that is why it wasn’t moving so much. I think my daughter was pretty brave. Thank you, Emilio. ~amy
