This is beautiful! I live in a part of Brooklyn that is booming in popularity, and as a result, beautiful, old building are being taken down daily to accommodate ugly, modern condos. It’s really sad, but it’s great to see that more and more people are beginning to see the benefits of restoring and renovating rather than destroying.
I just recently came across an artist who found a bunch of tatty thrift store paintings and gave them life by adding Star Wars characters to them. You can take a look at that here if you’re interested: http://fancyfrivolous.com/2014/03/21/thrift-store-paintings-re-imagined/
I’m in a minority but I love graffiti – the skills of the artists are just amazing and instead of grumbling, it would be good if people appreciated the creativity.
I can never admit that out loud, but i agree. I wish, instead of it arresting them, that they could go to an art program & learn how to become muralists. I’m glad you liked what they did on the train, I thought it was amazing. Thank you! ~amy
