Happy me. I’m going to do more things in my life that make me feel good. At least one or two really good things a day. Not just work, laundry, vacuuming, cleaning, cooking. I’m going to take photos, play with my children, paint, draw, play with my dog, dig in my gardens, snuggle with a cat at noon–because I can. Try to live in the moment. No past– unless it brings peace, no future–unless i have plans that shine. I’m going to bring more happy in my life. I only have one, right?

Remember that old saying, that someone on their death bed never says: “I wish I’d spent more time working/washing up/cooking/cleaning/dusting” and so on. Have a great, happy life with whatever nourishes your spirit, you deserve it. Our culture of having to be busy, busy, busy all the time is cheerless and fosters unhappiness. Doing what you love and stuff the housework is what makes happiness.

Well said. I am trying very hard to do fun things everyday since & I’ve been doing very well. I’ve given myself a chart that tells me what to clean each day of the week, then I can reward myself by doing art, gardening, photography–guilt free & happy. Thank you for your lovely comment. ~amy

Sounds like a good plan, I sign up for that. You are right, we all should live in the moment, the world would be a happier place. Lovely shot, I hugged once a horse, was black and I felt his heart beating, was magical. Beautiful, gracious creatures. Great post:):):)
