These images were taken with a Nikon D80 w/ a 40mm micro lens. Some images were taken with a 10x magnifying Vivitar filter. All images were photographed without a tripod–hand held @ about a 30th (or less) of a second. Kip used a scarf, removed from his freezer, as a soft place for the flakes to land.
I have my favorite as my screen saver on my computer & iPad. I can’t make it to Vermont this year & I miss it. I now have Vermont snow-in a way I’ve never seen before.
I hope you enjoy his work. ~amy

The creative hand of God is seen in the smallest things. What jewels he has hidden in the flakes of snow. Thanks for sharing these beautiful photos

Lynda, thank you for commenting on his work. I grew up in Vermont…snow was snowball fights, tunneling through it, shoveling it off things or stamping it off my boots. Snow was never this. He is an amazing photographer & I hope to share more of his work. It is personal to me b/c I know him & grew up in the town where he is taking his images. 🙂 ~amy
