I was with my son & I aimed the camera at these steps & I asked him, “what am I seeing through my lens?” He quickly glances in the general direction of the church & says, “the shadows from the railing on the steps…i see everything like you, Mom.” boosts this proud mom. 🙂Birmingham United Methodist Church. That is a beautiful place. That area is my favorite area in Birmingham for street photography. I like the food at the Golden Temple too.
You took some lovely pictures.
You are from/in Alabama? That is so cool, jr cline! I have looked at Alabama in the reader & its mostly football or some other sports…it would be cool to know via blog a fellow Alabamian. Thank you for the compliment too 🙂 ~amy
Yes, I live an hour south of Birmingham. Apart from the few like me, Alabama is a sports state. Football is the big sport here. Hunting and fishing are close seconds to sports.
And you’re welcome.

Very cool to know a fellow Alabamian that is not a huge sports fan. 🙂 I watch some games, but really its only b/c my kids do. ~amy

I watch some games too. Sometimes friends invite me over for games like the Iron Bowl. I’ll go for the party.

I agree. Birmingham is a hodgepodge of architecture. It looks like a pile of laundry that has yet to be folded. I love it. Thanks, John. ~amy
