    That is a super idea but I can see that the Hebrew was taken from the yiddish language as we would say Ouga and not Kouchen and the word coffee will be writen differently too. Very interesting collection never saw one before.

      Wow, thank you for that. It would seem that the creator had a knowledge of Judaism & yiddish. That would make sense, My Grandparents were Jewish & lived in Baltimore, Maryland. The dishes are playful. I love them very much. Thank you so much for your information. ~amy

      It is amazing how it feels to hold something that my grandmother shopped for, washed & held her own hands. A connection. Luckily, I don’t have that attachment to anything other then dishes. My china is from my grandmother. My grandmother got the chine from her Uncle. Which means my set of dishes is over 100 years old! ~amy
