my favorite holiday is Rosh Hashanah~a new year & i love that Yom Kippur gives me a chance for a clean slate.  an empty canvas. a new sketch book.  this year is going to be wonderful for me…in a few more weeks i will be able to walk without pain.  I’ve been down with broken hip, infected bone & a bad fusion since 2007.  Oct. 4th i am going back to see my trauma orthopedic surgeon to check out my bones & see if I can get up without the walker. this doctor fixed me. i don’t hurt!? doesn’t that sound like a great way to start a new year?                                                                   

my second favorite holiday is Halloween.  Silly, because it brings the chance to be someone different.  to make light of monsters in the dark.  i like to bring out my fears & make them simple.  these are a few of my scribbles that I dashed off this morning.  boo. thank you, husband for my new sketch book & wonderful pens & hard pastels.  sorry about the eraser dust in the sheets. 🙂
