My mother came to spend the day with me. One of my very best friends, Stephanie (I love you) came to visit for a while, too. We spent the time we had together on the bed, where I’ve been since June 27th. Broken Pelvis, bone infections, picc lines, home health nurse, fusions, stitches & lots of pain. By the time I leave my bed it should be Sept. 18th or so. Then I have to learn to walk again.
My surgeon, Dr. J. Evans @ Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tenn. has given me a 2nd chance at life, a real one I mean, before the surgery…Pain lived with me. Dreadful creature, Pain.
Around three O’clock today, my son came home from school. Shortly after he arrived, the door bell rang & he answered it. My mother & I heard him laughing down the hall & he enters the bedroom with a vase full of flowers almost as big as he is. I asked for the letter, to see who had sent them.
I read the letter out loud to myself & my mother. I cried & cried, tears & said a thousand times, through them, “OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD” in total disbelief. It is an amazing honor to receive something like this & well….be alive to hear it.
A treasure & I wanted to share it with whomever cares to read it.
I know now that I have the power to do this to someone I care about someday. The power to make everything really WONDERFUL for someone for a while.

People can be so shockingly wonderful. I can’t wait to repay the kindness to others. Kindness & giving are things, once received, must be passed on. It has changed me in ways that I never would have believed had someone told me before hand… Thank you for commenting.
