tin foil & sharpie Hamsa

tin foil & sharpie Hamsa

This hamsa was cut from matt board, painted with acrylic, then I cut out tinfoil after coloring it. The star was cut out using a cookie cutter. I added the “diamonds” with glue. For the wire to hang…I beaded the string leaving quite a bit empty so that I could twist together, then bead into one & taping the wire to the back. This was made for my home, ‘to keep out evil’ about five years ago. The tin foil in places has begun to fade, but a touch up is a piece of cake. This hangs right next to our kitchen sink.
If you would like to make a different shape, something that means more to you, simply copy an image from the internet of desired object onto card stock, cut it out & use as a stencil on the back of the matt board. It is hard to cut, so use super sharp scissors by an adult before handing it unfinished to a child.
