lifting me up

lifting me up

I am in my upper 39s in age. Today was the first day I’ve ever ridden a horse. I live with chronic pain, I have a broken bone in my pelvis & a failed left S.I. fusion. There are a few things that make me forget this new me & bring back the old me- it is art, photography, teaching art, working on this blog for a while… Today a wonderful friend brought me out of this soul crushing pain, she let me ride one of her horses. I’ve never done that. I’ve always wanted to.
Sophie took over the photography while I went in slow circles, she took about 20 shots. In every single one, I am smiling from ear to ear. Jessica, thank you for lifting me up on both horse & happiness. I’ll never forget it.

I’m working on it, Alessandro. Some days suck. But I know if I rest most of the day, the next will be better. Until my pelvis breaks.

Thank you, I know it was a pony. But it meant the world to me for her to give me some of her time to help a friend. -amy
