The bottom right picture was taken the day before he died. He looked fine to us. Blue was nine years old. He took a part of our heart with him. We knew he was sore & his joints hurt him. We believe he had a heart attack & he went very, very quickly. A blessing for us all that he didn’t suffer

Elizz, you are so right, he did look fine & he was acting fine. Its so strange though. I’ve been wanting to video his howling all his life & never got him to do it. But the last full day of his life, my daughter got him howling like the wolf he is.

Indeed he did. Raising a pup & having him as my 125 shadow for the last 9 years made me feel loved every minute. And his absence has made me feel very alone. Luckily we adopted a rescue Husky & she is a wonderful shadow too. She grieves a great deal. She cannot eat or if she does, cannot hold it in long. I feel for her.
