he outshines them all

he outshines them all

i don’t know what kind of tree this is. it hides in the woods. i couldn’t find one in the summer if you paid me to. when all the leaves have fallen, this tree decides to shine. When it rains is when it glows the brightest. it is as though it’s trying out to shine like the missing sun. i know trees cannot speak, but this one does. on those days when the grey, wet clouds settle down low & deep in our bones & brings a bit of sadness. i’ve decided, for me, this tree will be my missing sunlight. I will say thank you

  1. A very nice image. I would guess that the tree is a young Beech tree….as they get more mature they tend to darken to a rich brown like those behind the ‘golden glow’. But I am no expert so stand to be corrected.

Thank you, they are everywhere, but only seen for about two months out of the year.
