The morons who declared their love by carving into a succulent as large as this one, should be strung up by their damn toes. Only God knows how old this beast must have been. I speak in past tense because the Birmingham Botanical Gardens renovated the cactus/succulent part of their green house. When I went to view it, I already knew what they had renovated. They had thrown out the beasts that people had defaced.
If people wish to declare their love to one another by writing their names on nature, might I suggest dirt, sand & snow. or a damn piece of paper.

Birmingham Botanics is one of my favourite gardens. I did an exhibition there a few years ago in their lovely art gallery. These are truly stupid people who did this.
